The Colorado Avalanche have announced the signing of their 2024 second-round draft pick.

Goaltender Ilya Nabokov, 22, has agreed to a two-year, entry-level deal with the Avalanche through the 2026-27 season, the team announced Friday.

Nabokov was selected 38th overall by the Avalanche in 2024, the highest Colorado has selected a goaltender since 1998.

The six-foot-one goaltender played in the KHL the past two seasons and recorded a .926 save percentage and a 2.19 goals against average.

Nabokov helped Metallurg Magnitogorsk (KHL) win the 2024 Gagarin Cup and became the youngest goaltender to win the playoffs MVP award.
