Boxing vs BJJ for defending against a much larger body?

I wrestled for a few years as a young kid & loved it. I carried those skills with me my entire life. I’ve always wanted to take Boxing lessons but they were always too expensive. I just turned 30 & really miss doing something competitive to get some aggression out. I haven’t been in a fight in years since I’m a father now & purposely avoid situations. Most places around me charge $100 per private lesson & that’s just too steep for me. The unlimited monthly class price is affordable however punching a bag in a gym just doesn’t seem worth it as I have a set up in my garage. BJJ sounds more rewarding as you are always sparring with a live person although I’m not fond of being covered in someone else’s sweat. How often are BJJ guys getting seriously hurt? submitted by /u/girthygale [link] [comments]
