Eric Robinson is staying in Raleigh.

The forward has signed a four-year deal with the Carolina Hurricanes worth $6.8 million carrying an average-annual value of $1.7 million, the team announced on Friday.

Robinson enjoyed a career-best season in his first with the Canes, recording highs in games played (82), goals (14), assists (18), points (32) and plus/minus (plus-14). He also skated in 15 post-season games, recording a goal and two assists.

“It’s no surprise to us that Eric had his best professional season last year with Carolina,” Hurricanes general manager Eric Tulsky said in a press release. “His size and speed make him an excellent fit for the way we want to play, and we are thrilled that he’s chosen to remain a Hurricane.”

The 30-year-old forward has totalled 54 goals and 69 assists across 388 games since joining the league as an undrafted free agent. Robinson also registered 33 points (16 goals, 17 assists) in 68 AHL contests.
