The Hurricanes announced Wednesday morning that the forward has signed a three-year contract extension with an annual average value of $3.167 million.
Hall, 33, has been with the Hurricanes since January, when the team acquired him and Mikko Rantanen in a blockbuster three-team trade with the Colorado Avalanche and Chicago Blackhawks.
A native of Calgary, Hall recorded 18 points (nine goals and nine assists) in 31 regular-season games after the trade and has collected one goal and two assists through five games in the playoffs.
The Hurricanes are the only team so far in the post-season to have advanced to the second round, having defeated the New Jersey Devils in five games.
Selected first overall by the Edmonton Oilers in the 2010 draft, Hall spent six seasons with the organization before going on to also play for the Devils, Arizona Coyotes, Buffalo Sabres, Boston Bruins and Blackhawks.
Across 909 career games, the former Hart Trophy winner has 284 goals and 455 assists for 739 points.
