Philippines or Thailand boxing gym?

I'm still weighing up the best boxing gym to attend, but so far Thai Payak Gym and Legacy Gym Philippines look like the top two options if I want to train abroad long term on a budget. Thailand probably offers better facilities overall. Its larger tourism economy means more investment in modern equipment and a wider pool of visiting fighters, which helps with finding consistent sparring partners around my weight. I’m a light heavyweight so competitive sparring is important. That said, the Philippines has deep boxing roots and a growing MMA scene. The training there might be grittier but more traditional and hands-on. Both options have their strengths. What’s your take or experience with either place? submitted by /u/optimisticprime098 [link] [comments]
