Stars’ Seguin to return from injury in regular-season finale vs. Predators

Tyler Seguin is back just in the nick of time.

The veteran forward will make his return to the Dallas Stars lineup for their regular-season finale against the Nashville Predators on Wednesday, the team announced.

Seguin, 33, had hip surgery in early December and hasn’t played since. Before the injury, he was on pace to be a point-per-game player for the first time in six years, with 20 points in 19 games.

The result of Wednesday’s game has no impact on the Stars’ place in the standings, but it’s a good chance for Seguin to get some game action before the Stanley Cup Playoffs begin this weekend.

Dallas is locked into second place in the Central Division and will take on the third-place Colorado Avalanche in Round 1.

The matchup between division rivals is a rematch of a second-round series last season when the Stars ousted the Avs in six games.
