What’s the most annoying part about finding and trying out a new mma gym?
Hey everyone, I’m doing some research to better understand the experience people go through when searching for a new martial arts gym—whether it's BJJ, Muay Thai, MMA, boxing, etc. If you've ever had to look for a new gym (either as a total beginner or someone switching gyms), I’d love to hear: What was the hardest or most frustrating part of the process? Did you run into issues like unclear pricing, bad communication, or difficulty booking a trial class? Was it easy to compare gyms in your area? What would’ve made the process easier or more transparent for you? If you're a veteran or currently training, what advice would you give to someone trying to find their first gym? I’m especially curious if this process feels outdated or unnecessarily difficult—any insights would help a ton. Thanks in advance! submitted by /u/Remarkable_Feature74 [link] [comments]
